We encourage families to take an interest in the daily life of Summer Hill Children’s Centre. It helps foster continuity between home and the Centre in addition to developing quality staff/parent relationships.

Togetherness

Families have the opportunity to participate in many ways, including:
Joining the Parent Group.

Volunteering for excursions.

Spending time at the Centre playing with their child.

Perusing documentation.

Completing surveys.

Attending parent nights.

Enjoying social events.

From time to time, parent-teacher meetings are scheduled to discuss an individual child’s development at the Centre. These meetings are also an excellent opportunity for exchanging information, discussing concerns or brainstorming ideas about your child/program.
